Terri Sherrard is 42 years old and has been married almost 20 years. She is a mother of 5!
She has been an avid runner most of her life! Although she would complain about running during conditioning for sports growing up she secretly enjoyed it!!
Terri graduated from University of North Georgia in 2004 securing a bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education.
Her last 2 years in college birthed a new love for distance running.
After baby #2 she decide it's time. The training was crazy! Especially with 2 little ones and just life. But she did it! Completed her first half marathon in May 16, 2010.
At that time she had NO desire to EVER run a full marathon! BUT after baby #3 she looked at her husband one day and said "you know what I want to train for?" He responded so quickly "a FULL marathon!"
So she did. November 4, 2012 crossing the finish line in Savannah GA full marathon complete. She never EVER thought she would run another full! EVER! Catching onto the trend? :)
Baby # 4 was born March 2014. Baby 5 was born July 2015.
She completed her second FULL marathon Noevember 5, 2016 once again in Savannah GA. Beating her first marathon finish time by 54 min! ALMOST an hour faster than 2012. :)
Terri has completed 8 half marathons, 2 FULL marathons, 1 TRI sprint, 1 tough mudder, 15K trail run, and to many10k's and 5K's to count!!!!
She has always had a passion to help people become a better version of themselves specifically through running from helping teammates on the tennis team during her college days, to a writing running plans for a friend getting ready for her wedding. Her desire to help others through running has always been ever present.
In June 2016 she decided to begin a new journey. Taking on 3 clients for FREE for 2 months. In exchange the clients were to simply give honest feedback. Terri wanted to see if this could really be done! After those 2 months the feedback was nothing but good and YEP! Experience the Finish Line was born.
Fast forward to 2018 Terri has worked with more than 50 clients with various goals ranging from completing a half marathon to just being able to jog 3 miles 4 times a week.
She realizes half the point is to work herself out of a job. "If the client can only succeed when I'm right there every week I'm not a very good Coach! Because of the relationship you build it's always bittersweet when a client says 'I got this now.' But isn't that the point!? I'm only a good coach if I can get my clients to the point where when I'm taken out of the equation they still succeed! And what a sweet, sweet day it is to see clients keep going long after they are no longer receiving individual plans from me! I am but a small part of my clients journey and I always consider it the greatest honor and priveledge to step into their lives in this way. My simple message is YOU can be a runner! And YOU can cross a finish line! YOU can complete as many races as you want! Even a marathon! It's about completion! It's not about it being pretty. (Because some days it just won't be pretty!) it's not even about being fast!! Nope! We do NOT focus on how fast we are...we focus on one foot in front of the other...every work out! Every week!"
There are 2 ways to be a part of YEP! 1-Client. Clients undergo a beginning assessment and recieve weekly individualized plans dropped into their inbox based on their specific goals. Terri intentionally aims to keep this cost reasonable as to encourage clients to invest in other areas for their health. 2-Memebership-this was born mainly for so many clients joining YEP as a client and although they no longer needed individual plans they wanted to stay in the YEP! community. There is a sense of family among the clients and members. We post our workouts weekly, encourage one another to keep going, and I share tips, and recipes. There is something special about the people in the YEP! community. They are not quitters! They do not let each other quite! It has been an amazing thing to be a part of and see! (Check out client testimonies.) You CAN DO THIS! Can you do this all on your own? Sure! BUT why would you want to?
HAPPY RUNNING!
