I began my journey with YEP! January 2017. My goals were to burn stress and calories! When I began my training plan Terri started me with walking and jogging bc I simply could not jog 1 mile straight. Winter/Spring of 2017 following her plans I ran two 5K's. As summer approached she had an opportunity for me to run with her in the 4th of July Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta GA. I completed my first 10K ever July 4, 2017 in that heat!! WOOO! I proudly earned my first Peachtree road race t-shirt completing 6.2 miles. The furthest I had ever ran in my life! In the Fall I completed another 10K for Buggy Days in my local town Barnesville GA. Terri taught me to run at MY pace and push a little more each time.
Since leaving YEP I completed my first HALF MARATHON April 2018 in Savannah GA. YEP! 13.2 miles! Although I am not currently training with YEP I am still going strong! You can do this!! #YEP!

Brandi Swatts
My name is Brandi Swatts. I am 33 years old. I’m a wife, mother of 4, and full time family nurse practitioner. I’ve always struggled with my weight- I love food and have never really enjoyed exercise. My 4th baby was born in July 2017. I had a few friends that were members of YEP and had started following the public Facebook page. I was interested but nervous. On December 31, 2017, I saw a post about some openings in the YEP training group. Of course, I was setting my New Years resolutions and weight loss/getting healthy are always top of the list. I messaged Terri just to see what was involved and how much it cost. When I found out it was affordable, I thought ok we will see how this goes and jumped on board. When I started, I wasn’t super optimistic. I’ve never been athletic. I’ve never been consistent with exercise. My first plan had me doing intervals and I could not even jog 2 minutes without stopping!! Fast forward- now after 26 weeks, I’ve participated in two 5Ks and one 10K!! I have run as much as 5 MILES without stopping! Along the way, I’ve made some healthier food choices and Terri has helped me add in some cross training. I’ve lost a total of 20 lbs. I feel such great accomplishment. I now enjoy running and exercise and feel so much better about me! One of the greatest parts of YEP is the accountability and encouragement. I could not have done it without this group!!
